ok, gang, i am curious.

i cleaned the hell out of our sheet metal under the westy accoutrements, and
there are all these little pinpoint rust spots where soda sat sticky for
season after season.  like tiny pinheads (as opposed to large pinheads), but
no bubbling of the paint around the rust point.

should i hit all that with a grinding wheel down to sheetmetal, then rust
converter/primer prior to putting the high-temp mastic sheets i bought on?
or should i not worry about it and just put the sheets and the koolseal over
the top (thus no more air to rust the metal).  these things are like
freckles, small and innocent looking.

i really would appreciate any input.  they look like surface rust points,
but i want to make sure they don't grow any further now that the soda is
cleaned off.
