i am currently doing a lot of work, soundproofing and cleaning our '87, and i took that black plastic sill strip off because it looks like a washboard road along its length (very ripply and lifting off the sill itself). i remember reading here that the plastic edging on the cabinets could be restored by removing and heating in very hot water, then stretching and reapplying while still soft. anyone restored their sill strip that way? or perhaps found a good source for new material that matches? thanks. bill '87 syncro westfalia http://www.scruznet.com/~kasper/pics/westy/ |
