$4500 from the original owner - a coworker. 1990 Carat- with the rear facing seats and fold down bed, flawless interior, minor dings, Leaking heads, bad 4 speed. Since then: Way too much $ :) but a great reliable vehicle with tons of character and utility: Rebuilt 2.1 Fast German w/ Big Valve Heads and balanced cam (low end so-so, but above 3000 rpm- wow!), Z sticks, head studs. Rebuilt 4 speed lubed with mobil 1 synthetic. 27X8.5-14 Dunlop Radial Rovers. Also, new O2 sensor, Temp 2 sensor, Air Flow Meter, "hot climate" radiator fan switch and theromstat, new idle control valve & unit, throttle position switch, catlytic converter (passed *very* strict test only smog with *very* low emissions) Had bucking and loss of power weirdness which I think i licked (knock on wood) with the general help of the list: new fuel pump (thanks Stuart MacMillan), cleaned grounds (thanks Darrell Boehler and Ed DeBolt), and redundant grounds to fix one to crankcase breather housing (thanks Jon Hess). Needs- New door rubber, new left power window motor, new power steering rack (slow leak), fix crack in front bumper fiberglass, new fuel filler neck gaskets, some paint here and there. http://www.sybrondental.com/_private/personal/packwagon1.jpg
