Adam, I personally have not used the adaptor, but i don't think it would be a good idea as the antenna has to be tuned properly for CB antenna use (at least that's what the dudes at radio shack told me). Anyways, I made an antenna for my jetta using an old fly fishing rod, some 8 gauge wire and a antenna mount like the state police use for their highway cruisers. if you have a roofrack, you should just be able to use that, barring the roofrack, get a gutterclamp and use the right hand side gutter as a mount. it worked on the van as well as the jetta good luck. -sudhir Sudhir H.
