I must agree here. As I have put into the archive on several occasions, the cooling system (radiator, pipe size, liquid capacity) are far more than needed for the Vanagon power output from either of the WB motors, all of the inline fours and even the Subaru six. As I recall, the cooling system could support a 427! Marginal it is not. It has a significant problem with air in the line, as do all watercooled systems. Frank Grunthaner |
