My parts guy tells me he parted out close to 30 Vanagons and about the same number of loaf vans in the past 12 months alone. They weren't worth fixing based on standards here. The exception of course would be Syncro Westies and Double Cabs. Even the East Coast rust buckets of that variety are lovingly restored.
