I'm sure you will hear from lots of folks on the list on this one... sounds to me like your viscous coupling is going out on you. Sorry about that. Is it expensive? Yeah, kinda. But it will save you in the long run to change it out soon... a worn out vc can ruin tranny and related parts if not replaced. I know... it happened to me. The good news is Derek Drew sells new vc's at a very reasonable rate (around $800 as opposed to $2000 or some such nonsense from the dealer). the srubbing in the parking lot is the indication that the vc is engaging when it should not be... thus putting more wear and tear on the drive chain. Good luck. Mick Kalber 89 Syncro Westy "Daddeo" Tropical Visions Video, Inc. 62 Halaulani Place Hilo, Hawaii 96720 808-935-5557 808-935-0066 (fax) hotlava@interpac.net www.volcanoscapes.com |
