I recently bought my 85 Wolfsburg Weekender Vanagon about two months ago from a private seller. I am the third owner on it. At first the guy was asking $2850, then my husband and I talked him down to $2000. It's in pretty great cosmetic shape, with exception of a few dings here and there on the body. No rust at all (I live in Arizona, it's a dry heat!) The interior is excellent, the seats perfect, pop top and canvas perfect, seals are surprisingly not cracked. I don't think any of the previous owners ever went camping in it. The only thing I don't understand is that the fridge is gone :( so I am looking for a replacement one. The engine needs the heads worked on because one side leaks, but it starts and runs very well otherwise. It has 150,000 miles on it. It did just fail emissions though, and I need to have some work done now so it can pass, ugh!

It is definitely different from my other VW's that I have owned, I have never had one so new, and water-cooled, still getting used to that.

Peace LeeAnn :)
