Im using the Kirkland tires.  They are load range C.  They seem like good
tires although I am not a tire expert and this is my first vanagon and they
came with the van.  Ive heard others on the list say they like them and
that they last a long time and that they are a good value.  Probably not
the best money can buy though.

Find out the load index stamped on the sidewall.
I suspect these tires have an insufficient load index for a Westy and
probably barely adequate for a regular Vanagon.
