In order to address this concern, i got an extra key
made, a flat all metal one, and taped it under my van
in a spot not easy to find/get to.  I used  aluminum
tape.  I then painted over it with undercoating.  That
was 4 years ago. You would need a bright flashlight and
sharp eyes, plus a lot of probing to ever find it.
