Subject:      Westy Fridge amperage?
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

I'm setting up a solar charging and aux batt system in my '86 Westy.

My charge controller has a neat feature: It will automatically disconnect the load when battery voltage gets low, preventing over-drawing the battery.

But it only has a 6 amp rating for this. Anybody know how much amperage the fridge pulls? I have ratings for everything else I'm hooking up to it.

Of course I don't plan on running the fridge much off 12V, but it would be nice to have that choice.

Thanks!

Steve Gough
