My 1986 Vanagon with140,000 miles (8000 on a Boston Bob rebuild)  is
showing the following symptoms.  When I first start it up in the morning
everything seems fine and it has plenty of power.  After running for
about a minute it has absolutely no power.  It will idle fine and rev
normally, but as soon as I let out the clutch it loses all power.  I've
replaced the fuel filter, O2 sensor, checked the "cat" converter to see
if it was plugged (no problem there).  What would be the next logical
thing to check and how do I check it?  Thanks for your wisdom.
