rob, i have the merkurs on our syncro. they work fine, i have BFGATKO 215/75/15s on them and there's no rubbing at all (except on the road!). they're ET38, and i used a 6.5mm (1/4") spacer to bring them to ET31.5, which is close to the stock ET30 on the SA 15" rims. they will not clear the stub axle without the spacers, and there's not enough meat in the middle to spin them to the correct diameter to fit over the stubs.

just took delivery from benT of a set of longer studs for the hubs, so i can have more than 6 turns of my lugnuts holding them on.

i think ben now has a pic of our van showing the rims from afar on his website (see one of his posts for the addy). i have two angles of close-ups as well, and i am going to set him up so he can link to them from my webspace in the next couple of days.
