Here's one option. I followed someone else's invention and made a strudy platform that bolts to the table leg behind the driver's seat. the TV is then affixed securely with double bungie cords. I also put screws in the wood platform (with the heads protruding 1/4" or so) to make it so the TV cannot slide on the platform.

You have to be very careful. If the TV became dislodged in an accident, it could act as a missle and seriously injure or kill someone. It can be done safely, you just have to do it right. Ours is very solid.
