Subject: Removing Westy rear cabinet
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I'm working on a project to remove the rear cabinet from my 1986 weekender, and replace it with the rear cabinet from the 85 Westie. 86 has AC, the 85 does not. The procedure described in the Bentley manual to remove the rear Cabinet sounds like a nightmare. Has anyone found an easier way to do this? It almost looks like if I removed the air-conditioning duct and unbolted the cabinet I could slide it out to the front. Except for the air conditioning stuff in the back portion of the cabinet.

It looks like I'm might have to modify the rear part of the 85 Cabinet to fit those AC components. Any advice on this topic?

Edward
