Karl Asked:

>if it's only had one tranny, and it died 600 miles ago, how did you get to >Portland? OK, I'm an jerk for asking that one, but I had to.

On a flatbed behind a Uhaul but it was not the trannys fault. I got a used one from the list renouned Coby Smolens at Valley Wagenworks in San Anselmo. That worked good until the head I should have replaced pressurized the cooling system till the radiator exploded at the foot of Mt. Shasta. Did I say thanks for salting the wounds? ;0

Karl went on to say:

>My Westy has been sitting waiting for you to catch up. It hasn't had a >tranny or engine in it since last November or so. It should be back on the >road in a month or so. Better hurry.

Just for that bit of seasoning, I'm going to hang out with the Wetwestys and camp every inch of this magnificent state and make a quick round trip to New Orleans to go fishing. Lookout! :)
