Subject: I'm desperate - HELP??
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

Hey All

Am I doomed to an entire engine replacement? I have hundreds of hours invested in refurbishing this vehicle - I''d hate to have to start from scratch on the engine.

I need a Main Bearings Set for an 85 Vanagon 1.9 Waterboxer. It is part Number 025-198-461. I'll take ANY - meaning new or used...I just need a complete set. I have tried numerous vendors from the vanagon.com site, but either they don't have them, they can't get them, or they assure me that they have them and will ship them, then weeks later I call back to find out they NEVER had them. Can anyone help me? I assume that Desperate = Money$, right? Whatever, I'm really desperate.

Thanks everyone for ANY help you can offer
