Hey All,

While I was under Delilah, last week changing the hoses, I noticed that the tubing running up to the radiator is looking pretty groady. It is pretty rusty and maybe getting thin in spots. I talked to the parts mgr. at VW and he told me that the later model Vanagon's used plastic tubing---Hmmm. I was thinking that perhaps I could use PVC, rated for a hot water tank, or just go one step better, and use copper tubing, which would never rot. The only concern in using the PVC is that perhaps it would fracture, in the winter if it got real cold out, and if some road despise hit it.

Anyone ever attempted to do something like this?

What did you use, and how were the results?

Thanks ,
