Finally, something I can help with!
You should run new speaker wire.  I went to best buy and asked the
installers, and they looked my set up over and found a common ground wire.
It should probably say something about the grounds in your instructions for
the deck(mine did, but who reads instructions till after it doesn't
work)...now it works at loud volumes too.
