Todd--

At the advice of a fellow listee (who I've been meaning to e-mail to thank) I bought a "canvas" car port from Costco for $150. It assembles in a few hours, has three sides, I suppose you could add a fourth, the bus fits in, and I use it every day.

My bus right now is my daily driver till I can find a cheap Camry with less than 280,000 miles on it. So I'm in and out of the car port constantly. The SoCal sun is real burner here in the San Fernando Valley, so that's what prompted the purchse. There is a photo of the carport at the www.Costco.com website. I think you have to search CARPORT.

I tried a car cover. And because the bus is so tall the cover was a son of a gun to get on without a ladder. Not practical for my daily use. If she's gonna sit maybe that isn't an issue.

I've covered other vehicles with Beverly Hills Motors Cars car covers with good results over the years. The all cotton cover will last about 3 years or so outdoors. I still have the more expensive "breathable" 3 layer cover on my 54 Chevy pick up and I am pleased with the results. But that car is a restoration project on hold for about 6 years now. Oh, and I should mention the Beverly Hills car covers go for a premium price.

To reiderate, I like the Costco car port. It's not really canvas, but a white pastic tarp. But seems a good quality material. Not just cheap plastic.

Thant's my 2 cents.
