I do that all the time. Drill point is on top of cylinder, 9/16" back from shoulder, directly in line with top of keyway. Be careful....this is a thin area and you only want to drill through the housing, not the retainer. This sure is the hard way to get a key, though. Why don't you just get the code from a door handle?
