Simple. You always have to shorten the track the same amount than you extended the hinge. So for your hinge you have to shorten the track one inch.

Cut off the front part of the track (where the hinge stops when closing the door) and weld it in again one inch more to the rear of the van (to the left of the track when standing in front of it) Thatīs all.

For hinges extended three or more inches, the track also has to be shortened three or more inches. If you donīt do this, the sliding door will close too far frontwards, dangling on the pillar because of the longer hinge.
