> > that's good to know, especially when i am in speedtrapland. > having gotten a few tickets cruising at 60 mph in my bus on farm roads in the middle of nowhere Oregon, Washington and Idaho (washington especially!!!) use a radar detector if you have one. The cops like to radar you from a non-marked vehicle on the side of the road and then have the cop pull out of the rest stop and say he radared you speeding. Or they'll radar while coming towards you. On a seperate note, i've gotten out of every idaho and oregon ticket ("hmmm, i though open highway was 60") but not Washington. Ever since that 35$ flat fee registration bill passed the cops have been ticketting left and right. I got one for doing 42 (radared!) in a 40 zone in spokane! Fought it and got it knocked down from 235$ to 25$. good luck and cheers Matthew PS, i believe radar detectors to be illegal in canada. another check again those cannucks |
