Hey all, it's been a while. I've been buzzing around the west coast for a few weeks now in my westy, and am growing to have increased respect for the design of these vehicles. Despite the fact that after freshening up the engine to fix an OP problem which resulted in proper OP but a new "noise", after about 4K miles the noise seems not to be getting any worse and I'm going to drive it till it dies. My main reason in posting was to ask advise on the fact that my fan suddenly decided to be on all the time lately. I pulled into a parking spot one morning and I don't think the fan was on at that point, and when I came back out after an hour or so the fan was running. I pulled the fuse to keep it from running when parked, but anyone have any notion of whether this is likely to be the radiator thermo switch or a relay? The obvious is the switch, but is there a relay that could be doing this? Which one? I'm planning to fix this tomorrow, any help would be appreciated. Happy trails to all, mark... |
