Hi all again, My Dad's 87' westy has an embarrassing and annoying squeakiness that is coming from the front upper inner bushings. I've tried lubricating them with spray and injecting grease but with no change. Is the rubber supposed to able to rotate in the metal sleeve or is it supposed to be bonded? The bushes don't seem to worn out, that is to have any play in them. Is the only solution to replace them? Has anyone found any Polyurethane bushes that can be used instead of OEM? I really have liked the improvment in handling that uerthane bushes have made on my other cars and would be very interested in using them on the Vanagon. Thus far I have only been able find anti-sway bar bushes, end link bushes, shock tower bushes, tie rod and ball joint boots in uerthane that would work. Thanks, Kevin Dawson |
