Speaking of car shows, I am going to the Midwest Van Show in Beaver Damn Wisconsin this Wednesday through the weekend. Bands and entertainment all weekend. Must have a van to get in (that's the way I like it). They have contests with different classifications and so on. I will see what the Vanagon brings in and see what kind of reaction I get outside the "VW" circle. First time I am going but should be lots of fun. Over 250 have preregistered! Vans, Vans, Vans! ohhhh-doggies! Here is more information: http://clubs.hemmings.com/vannats2001/ Painting? Here's an idea. I went to a car show this weekend and saw a Dodge pickup that had the same spray-on bed liner (color tinted to match the truck) sprayed on the top portion of the bumpers front and back. (I actually saw a whole car painted this way too, and it was orange) It had that orange peel look to it but still very shiny. It looked very good actually and as far as function, I guess it would help keep the bumper is good shape. Might look tough on a Syncro either sprayed on fiberglass body kit or right on lower portion of body.
