I would guess your LED for flame-on is fine. Inside the burn chamber, there is a heat sensor that gets crudded up and fails to register properly. The LED does not simply turn on when the flame is on, but will grow in intensity as the sensor heats up. If the sensor is malfunctioning, your LED may glow very weak or not at all. Remove the frig, unscrew the sensor and clean it with a brass brush or some fine steel wool. Even after I did so with mine, I only got a weak glow, but at least it is visible.
