my favorite part is the broken trip odometer - the clicking every .05 miles or so keeps me awake... actually, I agree with a number of other listers that the driver's seat (I've got a captains chair with armrests - is that standard?) is very comfortable due to the leg angle factor. I am tall and have never been all that comfortable in any other vehicle until now. Also, the height at which you sit in a Vanagon is pleasurable in that you can usually see over the vehicle in front of you and can respond to road hazards/crazy drivers more quickly than when driving silly little cars and trucks (no offense intended to drivers of such things).
