Hi Volks, I like that "current collector". What do you store that current in? The sink? ROTFLMAO... But I don't quite understand the 1/4 vs 1/2 wave stuff. If I recall 11M is something like 33 feet so a 1/4 wave is something like 8 feet or 96". Using the correct numbers will probably get a 100" answer +or- 4 inches. So if I tune to the max current feedpoint it is the base of the 104" whip. A 46 inch device without loading circuitry is more like 1/8 wave. A good standing wave on 104" gives max current at the base and max voltage at the tip. I guess my RF stuff is rusty insofar as understanding the 1/2 wave aspect of 27MHz on a 46" antenna.
