One of my favorite "Wish they brought it into the States" in current production is the MB Sprinter James Cook http://www.mercedes-benz.com/e/rv/jamescook/default.htm (I am pretty sure Westfalia does the interior.) I contacted DaimlerChrysler USA about any future plans to bring it in with the commercial Sprinter vans Freightliner will be getting - this was their reply:

Thank you for your interest in Mercedes-Benz, your value as a customer is very important to us.

At this time, only the commercial vans are going to be imported through Freightliner. If you would like to contact Freightliner, their phone number is 1-800-385-4357.

If we can be of any further assistance, please feel free to call us at 1-800-FOR-MERCedes (1-800-367-6372).

Sincerely,

Heidi Martin Consumer Promotions Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC

So anyway, maybe the "Grey Market" is a possibility for getting a modern euro camper?
