Tim,

I don't believe that the Energy MXV4 is a good tire for a Vanagon. Write Michelin an e-mail and I think you will find that they will recommend the Agilis 61 in a 185 X 143 size. That is what I am running on my 91 GL with alloy wheels. Michelin gave them to me after I purchased RainForce MX4's based on their web site recommendation.
