I've had them fill up just part of the tank before. I was under the impression it was only a little over 3 gallons, it seems that was about the most I ever had to put in.

The fridge will run a long time on the tank. I've had the fridge on for 3 days straight and used the cooktop liberally and still only been down a gallon or so.
