Subject: Latest info on the '83 Westy
Content-Type: text/plain

First, I'd like to thank everyone that responded to my earlier questions, the information has been helpful. To recap, I'm looking at an '83 Westy with 82,000 miles on it.

Here's what I just heard from the dealer, it sounds pretty good. The only worry is that the head gaskets were done 5 years ago, is that about how long they last?

Recent: alternator oil change battery

Oct 2000 clutch (flywheel, t/o bearing, etc)

'97 Tires (not truck tires though, so they'll be replaced soon)

'96 head gaskets ($$$) water pump

Compression (done today) 160,160,170,170

-Craig
