Subject: How fast is too fast

I am new to Vanagons, and I was wondering how fast was too fast. I have a 1986 GL and it seems to do just fine at around 70. However, I have recently read about many listmembers blowing their engines going around 80 mph, so I was wondering if a sustained trip at 75 mph is a bad idea?

Thanks, Patrick
