Spent about 4 hours today trying to find the 12mm to 8mm plastic reducer
fitting used prior to fuel pump on , at least, 81 Vanagons.  I believe
that newer Vanagons may use a 11m fuel line right to the pump, but on
mine 7mm line comes out of the gas tank and then is stepped up to 11mm
through this plastic fitting (12mm and 8mm diameter tubes)  and then
about 4" or 12mm line feeds into the electric fuel pump.

In my quest to renew the whole fuel delivery lines, I botched this
fitting and I am finding hard to locate one - tried hardware stores,
plumbing, NAPA and the dealer.  Actually the dealer will sell me one for
$49.50.  Pretty good for a plastic fitting about 2" long!  I could not
find the fuel line anywhere, but finally bought 12mm gas line at a BMW/VW
dealer for an outrageous amount, but I bought it anyway.

Does anyone have one to sell.  I have a 3-piece brass fitting to replace
it for now, but would feel better with the 1 piece original fitting.
