Well, it's not going to happen.

I took it to get the inspection done and it is leaking from the head where the thermostat connects to it, on the driver's side. This was found when they pressurised the cooling system. It also failed emissions, and it was a little slow to pump up pressure during the compression test on the #1 cylinder. The mechanic thought the rings may be going bad there.

So that's that. $75 well spent IMO, as it would need around $2000 worth of work at least. Looks like I'm still looking. Anyone selling? ;)
