Wow !! This is the ultimate ride---- Where in the heck did this come from? I never have seen any of these in my neck of the woods! Did they just import these to the West Coast?

Later,

Terry

Title of item: Mercedes-Benz : 306D Van Seller: dmaxx Starts: Jul-12-01 22:10:27 PDT Ends: Jul-19-01 22:10:27 PDT Price: Currently $2,000.00 To bid on the item, go to: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=593302744

Item Description:

'72 Mercedes 306D 9 Pass. Van/Bus

Vehicle Description

'72 Mercedes 306D 9 passenger Bus/Van. Daily driver very dependable, good fuel mileage (26-35mpg, depending on driving habits). Bought from original owner/family. This is a very rare vehicle and has been shown in several MB car shows locally and gets all the attention it deserves - a very unique and unusual vehicle.

Exterior body is in very good condition no dents, no cancer though there is some very small spots of surface rust- vehicle has been repainted some time ago but is original color (white). Brand new tires all around. All dash functions work, also comes with original copy of owner's manual in mint condition.

Powerplant is the 220D 4 cyl Diesel, many other parts are shared with VW and similar German Van/Buses, definitely a practical classic - Think UniMog lite! Top speed 70 mph, no more and certainly less, this baby is geared LOW! Transmission is a 4 speed and is front wheel drive.

Vehicle Condition

Engine is strong, clutch is original and will need service before too long, brakes are good, though one rear wheel cylinder is seeping and will need tending to soon. Interior is great except for the seats which have some tears and minor fraying in spots, headliner is intact but shows some wear. Speedo (in kilometers) is not working, but odometer is, and currently reads 09398 KM.

All the basic parts for this van are readily available and some spares are included in the auction.

Terms of Sale

1 year old and another on the way places this rare, head turning vehicle up for auction (regrettably). No bozos, tire kickers, or other time wasters- serious bidders only please. Winning bidder is responsible for pick up and/or transportation, no other options will be considered. Escrow will be considered under certain conditions and my terms. Money Order, Bank Draft/Check or Cash (on pickup-Deposit required) ONLY. All foreign transactions will require payment in full before vehicle is transported.

As this vehicle is sold as is, please email with any questions and as a second party is placing this item, please do not ask any last minute questions. If you are in the Southern California area, we would be glad to arrange a meeting to see and inspect the van before bidding if so desired.
