Chris,

I use a dremel tool with cutting disks to cut the nut in half. It can then be pried off with a screwdriver. You'll probably break a few disks but, at $8 for 30 of them, who cares.

Wear Saftey Glasses! I have been hit in the forhead by half of a broken disk and it was quite painful, but nothing compared to what it might have done to my eye.
