I have one. I am using orginal linkage, mounts, cv joints, etc.

First gear is on the same line as reverse so rocking the van if and when you get stuck, makes getting out easier (BTDT). Cost is @$2000 to $2500. If you customize the WBX engine, as I have, the engine can easily push the van with the different ratios. The 5 speed .457 tranny and my modified drop in WBX engine have made just about the perfect engine drive train combo. IF VW had did it my way, not many would be complaining about the lack of power or needing an extra gear...
