If the headliner is anything like my '83 then it is held on by a strip of these metal tabs above the door. If you push up the vinyl under the metal then rap on it then it should bend them and put pressure on the vinyl. You can't see the metal tabs, they are underneath the vinyl and if you can't shove up the vinyl under it then you can pry the tabs out a little to get more space. good luck. Rachel
