Geeze! Rubber mallets are only $3.00 on the all Chinese tools discount racks, get one. In the intern period, get a plastic dish pan, put it under the stuck drum assembly to catch fluid, take a turkey baster (you could use a pump type oiler but its slower) and spray kerosine, diesel fuel or any other cheap solvent (not gasoline) , just keep pumping the solvent through any hole you can find in the backing plate and through the two little bolt holes on the outside of the drum. While the first drum is soaking and draining, go buy that rubber hammer. Them come back and work it over vigorously with the hammer. Then do the next drum the same way.
