Probably not.  The bearings seemed to be shot in it as well.  It was hard
to turn, and I in fact managed to sieze it completely after I had taken it
out.  I turned it in for my core credit, so its long gone now.  I'll keep
checking my "new" one to see if I see obvious signs of quality defects.
