i saw the post for the east bay syncro auction ending today, which i could
do nothing about.  did anyone on the list go?

has anyone on the list ever bought a van (or any other vehicle) using this
service?  what are the prices like?  i am thinking about a subaru engine and
see many relatively low mileage legacys with damage to the car that doesn't
involve the engine.  and i wonder if this would be a good place to keep an
eye on as a source of engines.  i am also keeping an eye out for a beetle
tdi *s*
