I'm probably an idiot. That said, I don't know what the yellow wires are, but I had them too. I figured they went to some option I didn't have on my '90 base model syncro. I did check, and they receive power when the ignition switch is on, so one of them now powers my radio and cell phone, which both have been turning happily on and off with the ignition switch for the past 3 years.
