Alan: I am a strong believer in LED lights. I recently installed the "cabin light" which I got here:

http://www.jademountain.com/lightingProducts/led-fixtures.html All kinds of LED light fixtures for home, cabin and RV

This light uses less than 1/4 watt and throws enough light for reading and basic vision, but since it is aimable it focuses well on my work. On that page there are larger LED lights which would be more suitable for your use. They are expensive but never wear out. I have been using a red one for 7 years with rough use. The "bulb" is actually solid so they do not break or wear out. They even work underwater (but you will need a snorkel to use it!).

Entity Alan Watts spoke thus:

> Anyone know where to get decent light fixtures for the westy kitchen? > They have a 12v flourescent at home depot, but it's really cheap > plastic. Radio Shack doesn't have any and I've searched all the > local auto parts stores. > > Thanks! > Alan
