The sunroof opening is not that well suited for adding a pop top. In loafs the Westy used the same roof panel as a sunroof model but that is not at all the case in Vanagons. The Vanagon sunroof opening does not extend far enough forward to accommodate normal access to the latch mechanism of the pop top.
