Subject: Shock Absorbers, '90 Syncro
Content-Type: text/plain

Lovely news while getting my SYNCRO inspected this AM... the mechanic pointed out my left rear shock absorber uniformly coated in sludge, and informed me that it was leaking and that he couldn't give me a sticker until I replaced it. It seems to work fine, but whatever...

So do the KYB $30 shocks really suck? A complete set of Old Man Emu's is tempting, but I'm trying to be FRUGAL, and if the KYB's are tolerable - as in not noticeably worse than the ancient stock shocks on the van now - that would really be fine. But Ken's note by the KYB's on his website - "You get what you pay for" - has me wondering now...

Anyone wish to share their observation on the matter?
