I'm attempting to replace the head studs on my 1.9L rebuild with the Raceware studs, but they sure are difficult to screw into the block. I double-nutted the top threads to drive the stud in, but it gets maybe 2 turns then refuses to turn any further. Are they supposed to be this difficult to install, or am I maybe doing something wrong? I remember the old ones being hard to remove, but I would not think new ones would be this difficult. Naturally I threw the old studs away long ago before sending the block out for cleaning, so I have nothing to compare the new studs to. -- Frank Miller |
