Well my stupid accelerator cable broke again tonight as i was heading down the on ramp to I-70. The wire came out of the metal piece in the engine compartment just like it did two months ago. I did give it nearly full throttle to speed up with the semis goin 80 so i could merge a little easier and the pedal dropped to the floor. Luckily I had some friends along so one of them could operate the throttle while I drove to my house. So I am wondering if there are any tricks to installing and adjusting I missed last time. I followed all the hints given when I last asked about changing the cable and it broke again. In the bentley it says "adjust cable so that clearance of about 1.0 mm is obtained between throttle valve lever and stop on throttle housing" can anyone tell me exactly what they are saying? I am kinda frustrated that it broke already, I changed the one on my 74 Bus nearly a year ago and it still good. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
