I'm just catching up after a while away from the computer and saw the post about the SEAT cars. Yes, I have seen many Seats. As one listee said, they used to be Spanish Fiats. Now that VW has purchased the company, they share most of their parts with VW cars. Many call Seats "VW's with Spanish flair." The Ibiza Cupra R is quite a nice car, from what I read, as are the other hot Seats (say "Say-ott"). Also remember that VW owns Skoda as well - many call those "VW's with Czech flair." (Hmmm...I think they are Czech...my mind is slipping.) Either way, Czech engineering was apparently leading-edge until the Iron Curtain came down. You can see the current Skoda Octavia competing in the World Rally Championship on Speedvision. The arms of VW are many... : ) Chris |
